Some suggestions:
* Update YUI Compressor to the latest version.
* How about adding uglifyjs to the compressors? There’s an HTTP API that’s probably useful to you: http://marijnhaverbeke.nl/uglifyjs

Oh, and Closure Compiler would be nice too, of course! 🙂
Nice work!

Please test compressorRater with latest FF and Chrome. The sourcecode windows are hardly useable as the browsers try to render the source. Perhaps a wrap in a pre tag would help?

Tested in both those browsers– it looks fine to me. The content is not html it is text/plain so the browser is not trying to render it as html.
One thing to remember is that compressed javascript by it’s very nature is very unreadable, so it does look hideous.

Im aware that compressed JS looks strange.

A few month ago it looked much better. Like in this screenshot (taken in IE9): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/405/compressorie.png/

“better” is debatable. The only real difference I see is that the older screen shot is not wrapping lines. I could argue that it’s worse if it’s shown on one huge line.
In any event, the output is only really useful for copying and pasting to an editor, or saving in some way, so I’m not really sure what you are complaining about…
